Why is June 2 Telangana formed ?
Telangana was carved out of erstwhile unified Andhra Pradesh on June 2, 2014. At present, it is India's 28th and youngest state. Today is Telangana’s 8th foundation day.
In 2014, it was formed as India’s 29th state but at present, it is the 28th state as Jammu and Kashmir was made UT in 2019.Telangana was merged with Andhra on November 1, 1956, by carving it out of erstwhile Madras to form a united state for the Telugu-speaking population.
The National Flag was hoisted on the occasion to mark the Formation Day of the state. after hoisting the tricolour, homage was paid to Telangana martyrs and statues of Telangana Talli.
The state Cm paid rich tributes to Telangana martyrs while attending the celebrations as chief guest at the Police Parade Grounds. Students presented cultural programmes on the occasion.
And Best performance awards presented to the employees and others on the occasion.
The Government is keen on conducting Cultural Programmes. People are Dressed with Cultural Events Dressing depicting the themes of telangana movement by duly showcasing the art forms of Telangana.
It is necessary to educate young kids about the grand history, culture and Telangana movement, and to inculcate values among students to love their motherland and derive inspiration from collective spirit of the people.
